Maria Bartiromo was the first American journalist to broadcast live at the New York Stock Exchange. She has a number of popular programs under her belt. A veteran broadcaster with over 20 years experience of reporting on business and the economy, she was instrumental in helping CNBC to become one of the top channels for economics and business. Maria's highly successful journalism professional career suggests she was born for the field. Maria was confused as a young girl about which career path she wanted to pursue. She imagined being an artist one day, and become an interior designer in the next. But when she discovered the excitement that journalism has to offer, she had no intention of turning back. She's not only a great journalist, she's also an example to other women who are trying to make it in the male-dominated field. She was the first journalist of female gender to be recognized among the 50 Faces that Shaped in the Decade. She also is an author and a columnist.
Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actor in film, TV and stage since the late 1970s. At the age of 27, she has worked as an active professional thespian. Her first stage appearance was in 1990, when she performed an Off Broadway production of The Big Funk directed by John Patrick Shanley. In the following year she was cast in her first TV role in The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she received her first big break by being a part of the film Basic Instinct as a secondary role. In the film The Firm however that she was cast as the woman leading the film for just the first time, and this was also against stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s Gwyneth was a co-star with Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes as well as Julie Andrews for Relative Values. In recent times, she played Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
